The Texaal process consists of pressing the entire surface of the fibre before weaving.

During the weaving, the fibre is consequently finer and more dense. This pressed fibre allows the production of more threads per cm2 and to attain a tighter fabric with finer pores.

Thus, a filtration level of less than 5µm is reached, even with 100% cotton fibres.

Moreover, when the fibre regains its form after several washes, it progressively becomes stretched and it compensates for its wear.

Studies carried out after more than 100 washes show that the fabric still retains its efficiency against dust mites, in retaining the excellent initial level of filtering.
